MALVERN, PA--(BUSINESS WIRE)—April 8, 2004— identiMetrics is making it easier for schools to identify students entering the school, buying lunch in the cafeteria, checking out books in the library and receiving the right medication in the nurse's office. identiMetrics, Inc., a leader in the development, integration and marketing of biometric fingerprint identification solutions for schools, announced today the release of version 1.0 of identiFi ™, its biometric student security and identification product. identiFi ™ is used by schools to eliminate the need for swipe cards, PIN pads and visual student identification. identiFi ™ integrates the student's fingerprint information with the school's existing security, cafeteria, library and nurse's office software applications. It reduces school operating expenses and insures error free student identification . In addition, identiFi ™ does not store actual fingerprints, only templates of unique points that identify the fingerprint. Actual fingerprints cannot be “reconstructed” from templates.
Incorporating the experience of its founder, a former school Principal, along with other industry professionals, the product, identiFi ™, was built as a platform providing a cost-effective, simple and complete student security and identification solution using fingerprint biometrics. Quite simply, identiFi ™ uses a student's fingerprint to identify him or her.
