identiMetrics - Its time has come
In 2002, Jay Fry, identiMetrics' CEO, was hard at work as the Principal of a large school. During his tenure there, he became increasingly frustrated with the ineffective methods used to identify students for student support systems like attendance, cafeteria debit, library checkout, and nurse's office medication disbursement. And Jay was growing increasingly concerned by the lack of effective identification and security measures for school access. At that time, Jay's only recourse was to dedicate staff to manage the student identification card system as the problems became overwhelming with lost, stolen or forgotten student ID cards.
After considerable consultation with friends and associates, the idea for identiMetrics and the concept of identiFi™ was fostered. Throughout 2003, funding was obtained, Version 1 identiFi™ product development was completed, and on January 1, 2004, formal operations of identiMetrics was launched in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
