| Spend time practicing – not taking attendance! |
home > solutions > music |
It's Monday morning just before 8:00 a.m. 106 music students are piling into the band room. The Band Director is bombarded with several young musicians, each with an emergency – a broken sax reed, a jammed trumpet valve, a dangling clarinet pad. Each crisis is solved and then it's time to take attendance. With the 106th student accounted for, it's time to warm up and tune up. Finally, it's time to practice a new piece for the Spring Concert, but there's only ten more minutes left. How are we ever going to be able to practice enough for the concert?
